Born in Georgia, lived in San Francisco & Denver. Wherever he’s been, Brian has always had a strong love for music. He was in high school & college bands, and studied Bass Performance at the Atlanta Institute of Music.

Chris

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Chris first picked up the guitar at age nine. By age thirteen, he was playing in various bands and venues throughout the Chicago area. After later moving to Scottsdale, AZ, residing for many years in Colorado, and New Mexico as well; he participated as guitarist/singer/songwriter with both touring bands, and  on several independent CD projects. He happily resides, (with his wife of 35 years), in Sedona, AZ, where the dream remains alive.

JJ

JJ has been performing in Sedona and the San Francisco Bay Area for over 25 years.  She studied at the Blue Bear Music School San Francisco, and is currently completing her Master’s degree.  JJ has performed with various artists in the Verde Valley which include, Eric Williams, Blues Dawg, and the Sedona Dynamite Divas.  She has won a variety of awards including placement in the Sedona Superstar Contest.

Mark

A recent transplant from upstate NY, Mark has been playing steadily since his first gig at age 13. He enjoys playing both covers and originals and has been in many bands – recording several albums and playing clubs, events and festivals.   Some of the acts he has opened for include: The Smithereens, Blackfoot, Shooter Jennings, Peter Noone’s Herman’s Hermits, Donna The Buffalo, Southside Johnny, and Starcastle.

Gino

Originally from New Jersey, Gino began playing drums a the age of 10.  Upon arriving in Tucson in 1994 to attend graduate school at the University of Arizona, Gino soon joined pop rock and jazz bands.  Shortly after moving to the Village of Oak Creek in 2007 to pursue a teaching career at Yavapai College, he drummed with various performers.  Forming Wooden Ships is a passion outside of his teaching and drumming for others in Northern Arizona.
